Freedom City 2017 awarded Ambition for Excellence funding from Arts Council England Freedom City 2017, a city-wide celebration across Newcastle to mark the 50th anniversary of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. receiving an honorary degree from Newcastle University, has been awarded funding from Arts Council England’s Ambition for Excellence programme.
